Hello,
My name is Michelle Leiby, and I was first exposed to the world of card making and Stampin’ Up! in 1998. Several years later I received a couple handmade Christmas cards and knew that they were by far the most sincere and heartfelt as they were made by my friends. After taking several classes, and making the time to participate more regularly, I made the jump from a customer to a Demonstrator in 2010. My creative passion comes from others being excited about making and sending something homemade and original. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to not only teach classes to the general public, I have also started and taught stamp clubs, and held numerous private sessions for both small and large groups. One of the greatest attributes of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is that I have been fortunate enough to meet hundreds of people, and many whom I call dear friends today. I have been dubbed “The Nordstrom’s of Stampin’ Up!” by a customer turned friend. I make sure everyone leaves my classes with a smile on their face, but my greatest accomplishment is when they return time and again for more classes. Having fun is most important.
I am a Portland, Oregon “Native”. The beautiful Pacific Northwest is home to me. I am married to my husband John, and we have two adorable Miniature American Shepherds. Other than Stampin’ Up! I also enjoy spending time with, and watching my two stepdaughters participate in water polo and gymnastics. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to explore many states in the USA, and traveled to parts of Canada, Mexico, Japan, Europe, and many other areas. (My all-time favorite place to visit is Paris, France.) My husband and I are also Realtors and enjoy helping people fulfill their dream of homeownership, whether it be their first or their last home. The reason I chose a Dragonfly for my artwork is because shortly after my dad’s passing several years ago while sitting on my deck a dragonfly flew down next to me and we stared at one another. I immediately felt the presence of my father and saw the beauty of the dragonfly as it flew away. My dad was a huge influence in my life, he was full of life, laughter, and creativity in his own way with his wood-working and gardening.
I look forward to being your go-to demonstrator for all your Stampin’ Up! needs. Whether it be attending a class, questions about products, or simply placing an order please feel free to reach me via email or call me at any time and I will help you achieve your best creative side.
Happy Stamping!
Michelle
